JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” announces the formation of an alliance between Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the Republic of the Congo to develop a joint satellite constellation.
Aim: This initiative aims to enable the shared use of Earth observation technologies.
Within the framework of the alliance, particular focus will be placed on the commercialization of satellite data, the development of market-driven services, and expanding access to space technologies for all participants.
JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” remains open to expanding the alliance and fostering long-term international cooperation with interested partners in the creation and use of the joint satellite constellation.

Project "KazSat-3R"
The KazSat-3R project is a sustainable development of the national geostationary space communication system KazSat
The Ministry of Information Technologies and Astronomy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with its subordinate space enterprises, is carrying out extensive work on a new space project with the conventional designation KazSat-3R.
The name of the project "KazSat-3R" comes from a mixed abbreviation of the words "KAZAKHSTAN", "SATELLATE", "REPLACEMENT".
Relevance:
To ensure the planned replacement of the communication and broadcasting satellite "KazSat-3" upon completion of its estimated service life in 2029, it is necessary to create and put into operation in 2029 the space communication system "KazSat-3R" in the orbital position 58.5°E in the geostationary orbit.
Project goal:
Development of the aerospace and communications industries, increasing the availability of the information and communications infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the penetration of broadband Internet access through the creation and commissioning of the KazSat-3R space communications systemfor the planned replacement of the national geostationary communications and broadcasting satellite "KazSat-3" and ensuring the functioning of the national space communications system "KazSat".

INTERNATIONAL ASTROHUB AT THE ASSY-TURGEN OBSERVATORY NAMED AFTER ACADEMICIAN TUKEN OMAROV
On September 9, 2025 (14.00-16.30), a panel session will be held in Hall 303
The session will present information about the Kazakhstan AstroHub – a single ecosystem linking Kazakhstani and international optical telescopes at the Assy-Turgen Observatory, including near-Earth space monitoring complexes, hardware and software tools for collecting, analyzing, storing observational data, and ensuring the growth of competencies in optical and mechanical instrumentation for ground-based observatories.
Experiment "SANA": Cognitive Resilience and Neurobehavioral Safety in Space
Kazcosmos, together with the Advanced Astronaut Research & Training Group (AARTG) and Medsupportkz, is launching an international research project aimed at training a new generation of astronauts.
Cohort-1 “SANA” is the first training group undergoing preparation inside a high-tech spacecraft simulator developed by the Kazakh company Eurasian Ventures Group. The crew consists of four participants — a doctor, a biologist, an engineer, and a scientist — all women.
The project’s name, “SANA,” originates from the Kazakh word sana, meaning mind, awareness, and inner light — qualities essential for adaptation, cooperation, and creativity in the isolated conditions of a simulated space mission.
This team represents a new standard of mental endurance, cognitive flexibility, and stress resilience.

Amid the rapid development of global space programs — Artemis (NASA), Crew Dragon (SpaceX), Starliner (Boeing), Gaganyaan (ISRO), Tiangong (CMSA, China) — humanity faces a new challenge: ensuring the psychological resilience and behavioral safety of crews during long-term space missions.
In response, AARTG and Medsupportkz are initiating the establishment of an International Center for Next-Generation Astronaut Training — a scientific platform for developing innovative crew preparation methods, involving scientists, engineers, medical professionals, and psychologists.
